Apostles Prophets Evangelists Pastors Teachers Helps
Ephesians 4:11
And He gave some...Teachers...
1 Corinthians 12:28
And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily
prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of
healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
The person who
stands in the office of a teacher, will be able to explain spiritual truth
in such a way that it is easily understood. It is not learned by human
effort, but is by the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
* The teaching
office, is an office. There is no such thing as a preachers office.
Ephesians 4:11 and
He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists;
and some, pastors and teachers;
Vs.12 for
the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for
the edifying of the body of Christ:
*
The office of the teacher is needed in the church, to root and ground
people, in the
word of God.
Acts 13:1 Now
there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and
teachers...
* A person can have natural ability or inclination to teach, but that does
not qualify
them to stand
in the office of a teacher. The Holy Spirit gave and sets in the church,
and anoints the
one that He chooses. The anointing is the ability of God, working
through mortal
man.
Mark 4:2 And He (
Jesus ) taught them many things by parables....
*
Throughout the gospels, we find the Lord standing in the teaching office;
conveying
spiritual
truth, by using simple, ordinary, every day things.
* Jesus is our
example of the teaching office in operation.
