1. PATIENCE

ROMANS 5:3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience..

ROMANS 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

1 THESSALONIANS 5:14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

2 THESSALONIANS 3:5 And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

HEBREWS 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

HEBREWS 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

JAMES 1:3-4 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

Vs.4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

 

2. PAUL - SAUL

ACTS 9:4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

ACTS 7:58 And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul.

ROMANS 1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

ACTS 13:2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

ACTS 15:12 Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the the Gentiles by them.

 

3. PEACE

PSALMS 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

ROMANS 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

ROMANS 14:19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

2 CORINTHIANS 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

JOHN 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

ROMANS 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

ROMANS 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

ISAIAH 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, the everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

 

4. PERFECTION

PHILIPPIANS 3:12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

2 TIMOTHY 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

JAMES 3:2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.

1 PETER 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

1 JOHN 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

 

5. PERSECUTION

MATTHEW 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven

LUKE 6:22-23 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.

Vs.23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

JOHN 15:18-19 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

Vs.19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

JOHN 16:1-2 These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.

Vs.2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.

 

6. PLEASURE

PROVERBS 21:17 He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.

LUKE 8:14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

2 THESSALONIANS 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

2 TIMOTHY 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God..

HEBREWS 11:24-26 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;

Vs.25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

Vs.26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

 

7. POOR

PSALMS 82:3-4 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.

Vs.4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.

PROVERBS 14:31 He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.

PROVERBS 19:17 He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.

PROVERBS 22:16 He that oppresseth the poor to increase his riches, and he that giveth to the rich, shall surely come to want.

 

8. POVERTY

PROVERBS 20:13 Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.

PROVERBS 23:21 For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.

PROVERBS 28:19 He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough.

 

9. POWER

LUKE 4:32 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.

ACTS 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

LUKE 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

ACTS 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

2 TIMOTHY 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

 

10. PRAISE

PSALMS 34:1-3 I Will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Vs.2 My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad

Vs.3 O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.

PSALMS 47:6-7 Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.

Vs.7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.

PSALMS 98:4-6 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

Vs.5 Sing unto the Lord with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.

Vs.6 With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the Lord, the King.

1 CORINTHIANS 14:15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.

1 PETER 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

 

11. PRAYER

JOHN 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

JOHN 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

MARK 11:24-25 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Vs.25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

1 JOHN 5:14-15 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

Vs.15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

JAMES 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

 

12. PRIDE

PROVERBS 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

PROVERBS 27:2 Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.

PHILIPPIANS 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

JAMES 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

 

13. PROPHETS

PSALMS 105:15 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

NUMBERS 12:6 And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.

1 CORINTHIANS 14:29, 32 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.

Vs. 32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.

ACTS 21:10-11 And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named Agabus.

Vs.11 And when he was come unto us, he took Paul's girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.

ACTS 13:1 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

 

14. PROPITIATION

1 JOHN 2:1-2 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

Vs.2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. ( see Romans 3:24-25 )
