1. LABOR

ECCLESIASTES 5:12 The sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.

ACTS 20:35 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

EPHESIANS 4:28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

1 THESSALONIANS 4:11-12 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

Vs.12 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.

 

2. LAW

JOHN 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

ROMANS 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

1 JOHN 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

ROMANS 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

COLOSSIANS 2:14-16 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Vs.15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Vs.16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

3. LENDING

DEUTERONOMY 23:19-20 Thou shalt not lend upon usury ( interest ) to thy brother; usury of money, usury of victuals, usury of any thing that is lent upon usury:

Vs.20 Unto a stranger thou mayest lend upon usury; but unto thy brother thou shalt not lend upon usury: that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all that thou settest thine hand to in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

PSALMS 112:5 A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.

PROVERBS 19:17 He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.

PROVERBS 22:7 The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.

MATTHEW 5:42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

 

4. LIBERALITY

LUKE 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

ROMANS 12:8, 13 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

Vs.13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

1 CORINTHIANS 16:1-2 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.

Vs.2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

2 CORINTHIANS 9:6-7 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

Vs.7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

HEBREWS 13:16 But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. ( NKJV )

 

5. LIFE - PHYSICAL

ECCLESIASTES 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

JAMES 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

PSALMS 103:14-16 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

Vs.15 As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

Vs.16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.

PSALMS 90:10,12 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

Vs.12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

 

6. LIFE - SPIRITUAL

JOHN 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

JOHN 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

1 JOHN 5:11-12 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

Vs.12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

JOHN 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

 

7. LIFE - BOOK OF

REVELATION 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

REVELATION 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

 

8. LIGHT - VARIOUS

PSALMS 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

PSLAMS 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

MATTHEW 4:16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

JOHN 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

PHILIPPIANS 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

 

9. LONGSUFFERING

1 CORINTHIANS 13:4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

EPHESIANS 4:1-2 I Therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

Vs.2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

2 TIMOTHY 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

 

10. LOVE

MARK 12:30-31 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

Vs.31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

ROMANS 13:8-10 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

Vs.9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Vs.10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

JOHN 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

ROMANS 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

1 CORINTHIANS 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

Vs.5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

Vs.6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

Vs.7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Vs.8 Love never fails. ( NIV )

JAMES 2:8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:

PROVERBS 10:12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.

JOHN 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Vs.17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

 

11. LUSTS

MATTHEW 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

MARK 4:19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

JAMES 1:14-15 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

Vs.15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

1 JOHN 2:15-17 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Vs.16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Vs.17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
