The Basics

1. FAITH

ROMANS 1:16-17 I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

Vs.17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written. The just shall live by faith.

ROMANS 5:1 Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

EPHESIANS 2:8 By grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.

ROMANS 10:17 Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

2 CORINTHIANS ...For we walk by faith and not by sight.

HEBREWS 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for; the evidence of things not seen.

2. FAITHFUL

1 CORINTHIANS 1O:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

2 TIMOTHY 2:13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

HEBREWS 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behooved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the the sins of the people.

1 JOHN 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

REVELATIONS 2:10 Be thou faithful unto death and I will give thee a crown of life.

3. FALL OF MAN

ROMANS 5:12,18 As by one man, sin entered into the world, and death by sin, and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned

Vs.18 By the offense of one, judgment came upon all men to condemnation.

1CORINTHIANS 15:21-22 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

Vs.22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

4. FALSE -WITNESS

PROVERBS 19:9 A false witness shall not be unpunished and he that speaks lies shall perish.

PROVERBS 24:28 Be not a witness against thy neighbor without cause and deceive not with thy lips.

5. FAMILIAR SPIRITS

LEVITICUS 19:31 Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord thy God.

LEVITICUS 20:27 A man or woman that has a familiar spirit, or a wizard, shall be put to death.

6. FEAR OF GOD

PROVERBS 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

PROVERBS 19:23 The fear of the Lord, tendeth to life and he that hath it, shall abide satisfied, he shall not be visited with evil.

PROVERBS 22:4 By humility and the fear of the Lord, are riches and honor and life.

PSALMS 128:1 Blessed is every one that fears the Lord, that walks in his ways.

PSALMS 145:19 He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him; he will also hear their cry and will save them.

7. FEAR OF MAN

PSALMS 3:6 I will not be afraid of tens thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.

PSALMS 118:6 The Lord is on my side, I will not fear what can man do unto me.

PROVERBS 29:25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.

8. FELLOWSHIP

MATTHEW 18:20 Where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

ACTS 1:4 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary, the mother of Jesus and with his brethren.

1 JOHN 3:14 We know that we have passed out of death into life because we love the brethren. He that loves not his brother abides in death.

ROMANS 16:17 Now I beseech thee brethren; mark them which cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which which ye have learned and avoid them.

2:CORINTHIANS 6:14 Be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

EPHESIANS 5:11 Have no fellowship with unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

9. FLATTERY

PSALMS 12:2-3 They speak vanity every one with his neighbor, with flattering lips and a double heart do they speak.

Vs.3 The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips.

PROVERBS 20:19 Meddle not with him that flatters with his lips.

10. FLESH

ROMANS 13:14 Put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

GALATIANS 5:16 This I say then, walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

GALATIANS 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

Vs.20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

Vs.21 Envyings, murders,

GALATIANS 5:24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

11. FORGIVENESS

MATTHEW 6:14-15 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

Vs.15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

MATTHEW 18:21-22 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

Vs.22 Jesus saith unto him, " I say not unto thee, until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

EPHESIANS 4:32 Be ye kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God, for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

12. FOUNDATION

1 CORINTHIANS 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay, than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

MATTHEW 7:24 Whosoever heareth these sayings of mine and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.

13. FOUNTAIN

JEREMIAH 2:13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

JOEL 3:18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the Lord, and shall water the valley of Shittim.

ZECHARIAH 13:1 In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.

REVELATION 7:17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
