1. DARKNESS - SPIRITUAL

JOHN 3:19-20 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Vs.20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

JOHN 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

ACTS 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgivness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

2 CORINTHIANS 6:14 Be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

EPHESIANS 5:8, Vs.11 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord:

Vs.11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

 

2. DEATH - PHYSICAL

GENESIS 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return to the ground, for out of it was thou taken, for dust thou art and unto dust thou shalt return.

HEBREWS 9:27 It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.

2 CORINTHIANS 5:8 We are confident I say and willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.

DEATH - SPIRITUAL

EPHESIANS 2:1 You hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins.

COLOSSIANS 2:13 And you being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He quickened together with him, having forgiven all your trespasses.

 

3. DECEIT

JEREMIAH 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked, who can know it?

EPHESIANS 5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words, for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

COLOSSIANS 2:8 Beware, lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the traditions of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ

 

4. DEPRAVITY OF MAN

PSALMS 51:5 Behold, I was shaped in iniquity and in sin, did my mother conceive me.

PSALMS 130:3 If thou Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord who could stand?

ISAIAH 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray, we have returned everyone to his own way.

ROMANS 3:10, 23 As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one.

Vs.23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

ISAIAH 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

 

5. DILIGENCE

PROVERBS 10:4 He becomes poor that deals with a slack hand, but the hand of the diligent makes rich.

PROVERBS 13:4 The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.

 

6. DISHONESTY

LEVITICUS 19:13 Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbor, neither rob him, the wages of him, thats hired.

PROVERBS 3:27 Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thy hand to do it.

 

7. DISMAYED

ISAIAH 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

EZEKIEL 3:8-9 Behold; I have made thy face strong against their faces and thy forehead strong against their foreheads.

Vs.9 As an stone harder than flint have I made thy forehead: fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

 

8. DIVIDED

MATTHEW 12:25 Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself, shall not stand.

1 CORINTHIANS 1:13 Is Christ divided, was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

1 CORINTHIANS 3:3 Ye are yet carnal, for as there is among you envying and strife and division are ye not carnal and walk as men?

 

9. DIVORCE

MATHEW19:4-6 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,

Vs.5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

Vs.6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

MATTHEW 19:9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

1 CORINTHIANS 7:10-11 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:

Vs.11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.
